A guide to the options on how to comply.
A background in how equipment can be utilised to achieve this.
The details behind the equipment standards to ensure usage within the intended purpose.
The criteria for issue, ID marking, inspection, record keeping, maintenance, storage and withdrawal from service.

New Codes of Practice
Personal Protective Equipment regulations
Hazard analysis and Risk assessment
The categories for safe work at height –
Certificates of conformity and trace-ability
Inspection and record keeping procedures
Limitations of use and when to retire from service
Strengths and characteristics of equipment
The importance of rescue provision
Identification of equipment using samples
The correct fitting of harnesses
Identification of damaged equipment using samples
Rescue techniquies- including the use of a pre-rigged rope system
Use of all prevention and fall arrest systems
Delegates to carry out a multiple choice test of the key points
Clarify areas of concern
Summarise the topics covered during the course

ASSESSMENT OF CANDIDATES
All candidates will carry out a multiple choice test covering the key points of the course. If a candidate gets a total score of less than 100% then the trainer will explore the candidates’ knowledge of the topic. Where the candidate has a good knowledge of the topic the result may be amended.
